Production team Group Eight for KBS 2TV Boys Over Flowers, representative Song ByungJoon has only praises for SS501 member Kim HyunJoong, who newly turned into an actor.
Representative Song ByungJoon said to Starnews on a recent interview We are 100% satisfied with Kim HyunJoongs acting. Representative Song continued The first and foremost condition for the casting of Boys over flowers is appearance, second is their existing image and character. And then the acting skills, we set our priorities for the casting like that. For the case of Kim HyunJoong, he possesses both good appearance and image.
He added Kim HyunJoongs appearance is close to the original character, and his 4th dimensional image in MBC We Got Married is exactly the same as the drama character.
Representative praises Frankly speaking, we were worried about his acting. He was unskilled during the first practice session, but he really improved very fast. Despite being his first-time acting through this drama, he is acting well. He has made a lot of efforts in acting. With these, he is praiseworthy.
Like what representative Song ByungJoon said, Kim HyunJoong has been taking personal acting lessons after being casted for the drama and has devoted himself into acting. The more times Kim HyunJoong does, the more natural his acting is and resulted in good appraisals.
Boys over flowers has been rated over 20% and is currently being broadcast.
Goo Hye Sun Does Her Own Hair and Makeup
Apparently, Goo Hye Sun who is playing the leading role in the latest drama hit Boys Before Flowers as Geum Jan Di, does not have a personal make-up artist or hairstylist for her filming needs. She does her own hair and makeup for the drama! And this news has created quite a commotion with some netizens praising her for her effort in doing things herself while others criticised her poor makeup and hairstyling skills.
A representative from the Boys Before Flowers production team said: Goo Hye Sun will do her makeup and hair personally everytime before the filming. She has also portrayed her role as Geum Jan Di very well and is really a multi-talented girl. She designs new hairstyles during her personal times. As this time round she plays a cute high school girl, it isnt necessary for her to have any make-up artist or hairstylist.
No make-up artist and hairstylist for the character for has the most scenes in the drama? Is the production team trying save cost or what? So this is the reason why I find her hairstyle in Boys Before Flowers a little erm weird, even though I do like her character here.

Kim Joon in a fender bender
January 22nd, 2009 // by javabeans
On the same day as his castmate Kim Hyun-joongs small traffic collision, actor Kim Joon (Woo-bin of Boys Before Flowers) was also in a minor car accident.
Kim Joons incident actually occurred first but was reported later; it took place in Seoul on the morning of January 22. The other vehicle was a taxi, but the collision was so minor that the involved parties managed to settle things on the spot, according to Kims management. Nobody was injured.
Kim Bum and Kim So-eun are school mates
Boys over Flowers drama couple, Kim Bum and Kim So-eun are also real life friends and fellow universities classmates. Both are enrolled in Theater/Film Department in Chungang Unversity. What a small small world
Other notables who are fellow classmates are Ko Ara and Park Shin-hye.
Lee Minho is a sexy beast
it's getting hot in here...so take off all your clothes...
Arrogant Second Generation Chaebol, I can be one if I work hard at it
I've never been confident in looks. My family is not well off. In school and with friends, I can't be any more average. This is who I am. Sometimes I'm a loner, and sometimes I may even ignore someone else who is a loner.
And for this "me," there is a person who takes me away to New Caledonia in a private jet. And he then takes me on a private helicopter ride and whispers to me, "Can you see my heart?" Fifteen years after Cha In Pyo played a 2nd generation chaebol in the drama "Love Is in Your Heart," this new man carries a fire extinguisher and saves me from being bullied. Korea's number one chaebol group "Shinhwa's" successor, Goo Jun Pyo. As he fills my house with new furniture and electronics, the rest of the family cheers, "chaebol, chaebol!"
The drama that brings to life our fantasy, a cute but cruel drama. A new drama has emerged. "Boys Over Flowers," with the support of its fans, has closed down the gap with "East of Eden" to a mere 0.3%.
On the 20th, we met actor Lee Min Ho, who plays the role of Goo Jun Pyo in "Boys Over Flowers." Due to the planes flying overhead, the filming has stopped for the last 5 minutes. When the producer shouted, "Goo Jun Pyo, a plane!" actor LMH stared at the plane with a disgusted look and shouted, "Stop that plane!" and brought everyone to laughter.
LMH's arrogance seems natural. Asked about his sudden overnight stardom, he smiled and said he doesn't yet recognize it because he's always at the set. At the criticism that he looks too "greasy," he responds "but don't I seem more appealing as you look at me more?" He explains the greasy look is because of the perm, and he says the audience will have to stand it until episode 14. After that? He doesn't explain.
"I try to be arrogant in my daily life. I'm not exactly a pretty boy, you know. I try to overcome that deficiency with acting, but it's not easy."
Although he's getting the most attention of the F4, he himself is not happy with his performance. He gave his performance a 3 out of 10. When asked whether he was being too harsh like the character he plays, he responded that in his downtime, he practices enunciating with a pen in his mouth. He doesn't want the spotlight on him to expose all his little faults, so he focuses on every little expression and hand gesture he make in his acting.
When asked whether he feels this way because of the unrealism of the storyline itself, he outright rejected it. Although there are cheesy lines in the drama, the reason why I gave a low score for my own acting is because of my poor acting and nothing else.
LMH has been in 5 dramas and 2 films. Despite the many idol singers and pretty boys who fought for the role of Goo Jun Pyo, the producer's insistence that it had to be LMH enabled to win this role.
"I want to become known as a true actor. Like Edward Norton in 'Primal Fear,' I respect actors who can express darkness and fear with their eyes alone."
LMH says that he tries to show the two-sided nature of Goo Jun Pyo, who has money and social respect, but is a weak person inside, look real and not fake. Because the character from the original manga was more violent and more animal-like, it is hard to express the coldness of Goo Jun Pyo without this kind of violence in the drama. But I want to show the different aspects of this character, nevertheless.
At the end of the interview, LMH confessed. In this bad economy, I'm just thankful that I was given the opportunity to act. I'll try my very best.
Lee Minho Wishes You A Happy New Year
Lunar New Year is upon us and of course, now that pretty boy Lee Minho has become famous overnight for his leading role in Boys Over Flowers, we have to know how the curly-haired F4 member is going to spend his new year.
Lee Minho is still busy shooting for the drama and has to spend the beginning of Lunar New Years on set with the rest of the crew and stuff. He says, Today we have to start the new year off on set, and even though things are hectic, every time I think about the fans who support Boys Over Flowers, I dont feel a bit tired and hope that everyone will be lucky in the new year and continue to support the show.
Enjoy these ridiculously cute pictures of Lee Minho in the traditional hanbok and Happy Lunar New Year to everybody who celebrates! May the new year be the start of many good things.

The search is over! Nakita ko na ang magiging ama ng anak ko... wahahaha!
Ji Hoo caps for Episode 7
WAHHHHHHHH!!! Parang gusto kong tumabi... wahahaha!
Just some good ole picture posting spree...
^^^ Gorgeousness like that???
WHO NEEDS WORDS? hehe!
Boylet makes such a painting of contrasts... that pretty face... coupled with those muscular arms? HE CAN DRIVE ME CRAZY...
It's this Smile... this hopeful smile which broke my heart in episode 6 (and made me swoon too the moment he uttered my most favorite question now which is... CAN YOU SEE IT? MY HEART? after Jun Pyo showed Jandi the heart shaped island)
Congrats to Boylet also because as of the moment he's currently leading the race for the Baeksang Popularity award... beating other top caliber stars including co-F4 Lee Minho and Kim Bum... I hope he makes it to the finish line...
Mewific, will make sure to check out the jdramas you mentioned... Thanks for the heads up!

Actually, this is the start of the Jandi horse ride cap that i posted above... i love the entirety of this scene and how it was shot... [spoiler start] Jun Pyo beat Ji Hoo at the first competition which is a race on horseback since he took a shorter route... In this scene, Jandi is sort of comforting Ji Hoo and they take quiet comfort and solace from each other... Ji Hoo then introduces her to his horse and they had a pretty good time together despite the loss... it is in this scene where you can really see Ji Hoo starting to look at Jandi as a woman already... [spoiler end] That scene where he lets her ride the horse while he leads it in the snow was every girls dream... *sigh*}
This scene is for tomorrow's episode... the first date between Jandi and Jihoo... SO ADORABLE!
Jun Pyo and Joon Hee... BRUTAL SISTERLY LOVE! wehehehe!
Loving every MINHO & HYUN JOONG moment of it...
It's MONDAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
I thought it would never come... the day all of us BOF crazy girls are waiting for... sharing caps for this week's episode..
Seems like for the Korean version... Junpyo's sis will raffle off what sort of competition JiHoo and Junpyo will be doing...
I read that it's going to be Swimming, Car racing and Horseback riding... the Swimming and car racing plays up to the fear of both JiHoo and JunPyo...
(Swimming for JunPyo because of the [spoiler start]kidnapping[spoiler end] incident that he went through when he was eight and Car Racing for JiHoo since both of his parents died in a car crash and he survived it...)
So mala FEAR FACTOR pala ang dating nito! PARTISIPANTES! wahahaha! LOL
I was laughing at some of the comments on soompi about how Jihoo is always so different from the rest of the F4... whether with his all white ensemble and now his souped up car ala MAD MAX version... wahahaha!
Jun Pyo looking mighty cute in trainers for his sleepover at Jandi's house...
