"...it keeps gettin' better..."the number of things to love about this episode is seriously. i went cap nuts again. but i can't help it.
the rest of Jan Di and Ji Hoo's "date"
these days Ji Hoo is really tempting me to love him more than Joon Pyo. but i ship Jan Di/Joon Pyo so obssessively that, well... no one can completely take over my love for Joon Pyo. oh but Ji Hoo, you came so close to doing that today. i thought it was so cute when the lady at the food stand thought they were a married couple. aww, if only it was with Joon Pyo she got mistaken as a married couple with.Ji Hoo playing the guitar so he could make some money. i swoon. although he wasn't playing the guitar to serenade Jan Di, it felt like it. so romantic (and it did remind me of when Hyun Joong serenaded his Bu In). the acoustic version of "내 머리가 나빠서" (Because I'm Stupid) is so much nicer than the orignal. and i'm glad that it was Hyun Joong only for the acoustic. it suits his voice better.
the piggyback scene was really sweet. even if Jan Di's feelings for Ji Hoo aren't romantic, she's become very dependent on him, and i like that he's still special to her in a way.
and Joon Pyo seeing them smiling together, while he's probably been waiting there for her, kill me. and he doesn't go home just yet either. he stays there, outside what's probably her room window, until the lights go out in her room (and the life in him went out at that moment as well). i die because he looks so sad and defeated.
Ji Hoo/Jan Di washroom encounter
this was probably the funniest part of the episode. Jan Di is so sleepy and so spacey that she didn't bother to lock the washroom door. Ji Hoo goes in, looks taken aback by her on the toilet, and just tells her she should have locked the door. and for a good 5 mins, Jan Di is in her room, crying in embarassment for being found on the crapper. meanwhile, Ji Hoo is trying to reason with her from outside her bedroom door while trying to shut Ming up. lol, but you know Ji Hoo thought it was so hilarious, too. i would die of embarassment myself if someone walked in on me. i mean, who would want a hot young man to walk in on you when you were sitting on the toilet. but i can't help but laugh hysterically at Jan Di's crying.
the SHOES/aiport scene
another sweet Ji Hoo/Jan Di moment. i think the producers are trying to get us to question just exactly who Jan Di would end up with. Ji Hoo takes such good care of Jan Di. but again Ji Hoo's gentleness and kidness is hurting me. its moments like these where i remember the most who Jan Di ends up with, and it makes me feel so sad for Ji Hoo.
in the midst of their moment, Joon Pyo shows up, after probably rushing to catch them before leaving. and seriously Joon Pyo, at this point, what right do you really have to get mad at Ji Hoo. you threw Jan Di away. he deserves everything Ji Hoo says to him, but Ji Hoo did not deserve that punch. i'm disappointed that Ji Hoo didn't hit him back, but Jan Di just walking away from him at that point, that was enough for Joon Pyo. that's probably the worst they could have done to him.
and i was right, cause he becomes even more defeated and emo. oh Lee Min Ho, you win! my favourite drama Doumyouji, evaaar! i'm such a sucker for a broken man's tears.
Jan Di/Jun Hee+Jan Di's tears
more crying. more tears. god i love this drama. i guess this is where we get Jan Di's confession on her true feelings for Joon Pyo. Jan Di runs into Joon Pyo awesome older sister, and they go back to the Goo mansion for a heart-to-heart. they talk about how she went to Macau, and Jan Di tells Jun Hee that she's doing alright. well, we all know she's not. she goes into Joon Pyo's room, and is again flooded with memories of him and them together. as she starts to breaks down, Jun Hee walks in, and see her. Jun Hee tries to comfort her, and Jan Di proceeds to tell her that what she told her was a lie, that she wasn't alright at all.
there was lots of comments about how Jan Di was acting very out of character in the last episode, very non-Makino. but i think this very emotional side that is very prominent in Jan Di was always a part of Makino. just somewhat down played in most drama adaptations and in the manga. even in terms of Joon Pyo, this much more emotional side to them, i always felt was part of their characters. i think that Joon Pyo and Jan Di, when it came to each other, were very sensitive and "emo". true that in the kdrama they may show it more than we're used to, but i still think it's in character. and i like how they've decided to show just how "emotional" they got about each other. but then again, i do enjoy lots and lots of drama in my love stories, so i may the only one who's enjoying all the emoness and crying.
Joon Pyo's birthday party/Jan Di's seranade
the birthday scene...was where Jae Kyung (Shigeru) was revealed to be Joon Pyo's fiance. but i didn't care much for it in this episode. lol, i'll probably pay more attention to it next episode, but this party was all about Joon Pyo and Jan Di for me. when Joon Pyo went up to blow out his birthday candles, his eyes found her immediately. and much as he didn't want to, he held his eyes there, with her, as did she with him. so much unsaid between the two of them.
and to make things more interesting, evil mom asks Jan Di to perform. i was expecting key mashing on the keyboard, but instead, i was (happily) surprised with this....

Jan Di seranded out birthday boy. lol, i bet a love confession performance was the last thing evil mom was expecting. it's so sad really. our poor OTP. i wanted so much for Joon Pyo to run up to Jan Di and kiss her right there in front of everyone, and tell his evil mom to shove it. but instead, he remained seated, conflicted, probably so happy at her confession, but so miserable that he can't tell her he's sorry, that he still loves her and wants to be with her. guh, my OTP will seriously be the death of me. after this, the announcement of Joon Pyo's engangement is made. evil mom gloats in Jan Di's face (and i want to bitch slap her). Joon Pyo tries to drag Jan Di away to explain, only to take Jae Kyung's hand. end scene with Joon Pyo showing up at Ji Hoo's house.
episode 16 hurry. can't wait to see it. fake date will be so much awesome cause it looks like our OTP will stalk after them.
