This would be as good of a time as any to inform you all that, unfortunately, Soeul Couple is not on the 2009 KBS Best Couple list. Here is the list put out by KBS for the netizens to vote. I guess KBS is just biased against side couples. You may argue that the Jan Di & Ji Hoo couple is on there, but as you know, Gu Hye Sun and Kim Hyun Joong are the main characters of the show. Even though the F4 members are supposed to be equal, it’s very obvious that the storyline is mainly dominated by Jun Pyo, Ji Hoo, and their love triangle with Jan Di. It was obvious that Jan Di and Ji Hoo loved each other at some point, even though it may not be simultaneous. Yi Jeong’s love was more on the ambiguous side (and meant to be that way). If only the manga writer gave permission for Soeul to be together, things may have been different. I think if a side couple managed to get on the list AND win the award, it would be a big thing to happen. For now we can only hope they will present this award together. That’s not too much to ask right?
In the end, they are good friends who keep in touch. It would be nice to see them together, but we are patient fans. Getting married one day > an award in 2009. XD
